Judgment or Judgement

Judgment is standard in both American and British English. The variant judgement, which has always been less common, may still be considered acceptable in British English (see medial -e-). H.W. Fowler suggested that, for British English only, judgment should be reserved for legal writing and judgement for non-legal writing, but even he admitted, in the 1960s, that such nuanced specificity had already been lost.
