Gibe, Gybe, Jibe, or Jive

Gibe, as a noun, is an insulting or mocking remark and, as a verb, means to make an insulting or mocking remark; jibe, a verb only, usually means to agree or be in accord, though in sailing it means to adjust the sail to follow the wind (and in this latter sense is spelled gybe in British English); jive, as a noun, refers to swing dance, swing music, or a form of Black American slang and, as a verb, can mean to perform a jive dance or to taunt or sneer at.

The most common of these words, and the word you likely want, is jibe. Its idiomatic expression to jibe with is the correct spelling when meaning to be in emotional alignment with. The incorrect variant to jive with means either to collectively taunt or to dance together (albeit with a verb acting as a noun).
