Dream (to fantasize, as in during sleep): dream > dreamed > dreamed
Although both dreamed and dreamt are acceptable past tenses, dreamed, the regular past tense, is four times as common and should be preferred. Some say that the alternative, dreamt, lends a more literary air, but I know no evidence to support this claim.
